Buffeting, high beam indicators that are too bright, etc, etc, all sound like Cadillac problems that can, for the most part, be overcome or dealt with.
<snip I think if God himself designed a motorcycle some would have complaints about it. snip>
Just my .02 .........
BTW....165 with the bags in stock form, it might go a tad faster but my b@ll$ started to shrink as I had pictures in my head of my bags flying off along with me...I mean this is what I have heard.
Deziner...I too owned road donkeys for years, but at least the ones I had came with cruise and on the one that didn't I was able to purchase a plug/play setup from Harley.
I refused to pay what the MOCO wanted for cruise, $250 for a switch and a few wires seemed a bit steep. I might feel differently if it had all of the positive attributes that the C14 has.

Mmm. ABS is not linked. The brakes are linked. The ABS doesn't activate until wheel lock up is detected.
I hope someone will educate me on why so many people are dying for cruise control on this bike.
ease suffering, spay all your pets all the time
I hope someone will educate me on why so many people are dying for cruise control on this bike.I'm not one of them. I only use cruise control/throttle-lock to alleviate tingling (hopefully not an issue on this bike ), reaccomodate the right liner inside my helmet (bothers my ear), tighten the helmet strap, or something quick like that (no more than a minute every once in a while). I've never used cruise control on a bike like you do sometimes in a car. I hardly ever use it in cars too, but definitely more than bikes. So for me, the Throttlemeister is all I need. If I wasn't that anal that my bikes have to look completely OEM, I'd install one of those instantaneous throttle-locks (Vista Cruise, etc), but they're not for me. I also hope not to need a Throttle-rocker on this bike. Will carry it in my first trip just in case, but by my estimation, I'll probably won't need it (throttle spring pressure is not bad, and modulation is not that finicky). But I agree once with TBW, it'd be very cost-effective to add it, and it'd be better than any throttle lock, even for seldom use like in my case. But yes, it'd be one more thing that can go wrong. Have a good one.
(I totally agree with your sentiment, but I think it is better to neuter [most] pets. Spaying is only a female procedure, as castrating is only male; neutering is both.)

I also don't feel the need for cruise-control on the bike, though I would probably use it on long distance slabbin' across Oklahoma or Texas if I had it. My combination of "antler aids" consists of 2 inch risers, Grip Puppies, Throttlemeister, and 2 Throttle Rockers- one for each side. Good for 14 hr. days in the saddle by Laam.
