No.  As far as I can tell now, it's only minor changes.  Not enough to call a Gen3.  It would have to be a major revamp to call it a gen3.

Some one posted a video about the 2015 GTR.  I swear I saw clear wind deflectors on the bike...

Those are the Side Spoilers which are already avalible.

So here's the list of updates (as reported here http://www.ridermagazine.com/latest-news/2015-kawasaki-concours-14-abs-first-look-review.htm/)

New features of the 2015 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS:
  • First gear ratio for easier starts from a standstill and low-speed maneuvering
  • Steering stem seal provides lighter steering at low speeds
  • Stiffer rear suspension settings for enhanced control and carrying ability
  • Sculpted seat for improved comfort (optional Touring Seat available)
  • Electrically adjustable windshield with three-position vent
  • Exhaust heat shield improves rider comfort when stationary
  • Revised ABS settings to reduce the linked braking effect
  • Silver bezels on instrumentation

Could the revised ABS settings be applied to current 2010-14? It would be nice for Kawi to offer that since they recognize it's an issue.

Wow! Not exactly "gen 3" but more then I expected. Would really like to test this: Revised ABS settings to reduce the linked braking effect

+ 1  don't like the linked brakes one bit. Far worse than I thought they might be. I'll be looking into the mod to get ride of it.

  • First gear ratio for easier starts from a standstill and low-speed maneuvering

That is surprising.  I assume they mean a LOWER first gear ratio?

Quote
  • Steering stem seal provides lighter steering at low speeds

?

Quote
  • Stiffer rear suspension settings for enhanced control and carrying ability

Does that just mean it is adjusted stiffer?  Or did something actually change?

Quote
  • Sculpted seat for improved comfort (optional Touring Seat available)

Always nice.  Easily transplantable.

Quote
  • Electrically adjustable windshield with three-position vent

Well, the first part we already had.  I like the vent CONCEPT but man is it UGLY.  Easily transplantable.

Quote
  • Exhaust heat shield improves rider comfort when stationary

How is that new?  It was added on 2nd gen...

Quote
  • Revised ABS settings to reduce the linked braking effect

Finally.  Not that it bothered me, but many complained.  And it is just a simple FIRMWARE change that costs nothing.  And there is no reason it shouldn't be transplantable to the earlier years...  just depends on which computer is doing it and how it can be programmed.

Quote
  • Silver bezels on instrumentation

Yuck.

Missing from that list:

  • Changed error/warning lamp on dash from red to yellow (supposedly)
  • Darker tinted fluid reservoirs on handlebars

All this is well and good, but I'm sure there are many more dealers who still have 13's that aren't selling, like my dealership.  Hopefully not enough changes to turn buyers further away from current stock.

I do miss that new cruise control, though.  No wait, I'm good, still no cruise available.   ;D >:( ;D >:( 8)

If I were in the market, there is nothing in the that list that holds any interest that would even slightly sway me to the 2015.  Would be more interested in the color.

I have a red and blue on the floor.  I like the red better, but the blue is nice too.  To me, though I love Kawi green, it is almost obtrusive on the Concours.  Kind of a "Look at me Ma" color.  Better on MX and SBK rides.  Watching Villapoto cross the finish, on his bike of green, was always a treat for me...   tp

I agree!!!!

Hey tomp..... is there any way that you can check to see if the 2015 ABS firmware will be available to be loaded on the 2010-2014 C14?

I don't think they added a seal, but rather changed it for one with less drag. The existing C14 has upper and lower stem seals.

They likely just changed it so that it has less drag on the frame, etc.
