Personally I wouldn't remove the Name off the bikeI do it on ALL my bikes and cars. It has nothing to do with not being proud, ashamed, or anything like that. I simply don't like them, and it's hard to clean around badges. Besides, everybody knows it's a Kawasaki... and it says so on the back . I removed all badges (front and rear) as well on the 2015 Nissan GTR, and that car some people ask what it is. But it says 'Nissan' on the wheel caps, and 'GTR' on the side fender badges. That's enough for me . By the way, when there's an indentation or holes, I obviously don't remove them.
You removed the Kawasaki emblems? achhhhhhhhhhhh Sacrilege! You must be an "ex" BMW Guy........
I should really ban those that want to bring that thread back to life...
Yeah, I would *NEVER* remove the bike's brand or model badges. On the C14, they are not ugly or overdone. Why would I want someone to not know what I am riding? Plus it will hurt the resale value- I would seriously avoid a used bike where someone did that, because it often (but not always, obviously) goes along with the mentality of "ricing" and that can do serious damage to the vehicle.
Of course I removed all those stupid warning stickers, though.
The first one of those I remember was when I was a kid and the (unfortunately) all too common belief was that you could not / should not put an auto (or motorcycle, I suppose) battery on concrete or the concrete would 'suck the charge out of it'. What amazed me at that time was the number of people who would put down a piece of wood, cardboard, whatever to prevent that 'concrete sucking action'.

Got the Connie out for the first ride of the year today. Battery was toast. Had to take the ZX14R. Poor me.Right, POOR YOU. Are they really that much faster than the C14? What, 50 more HP, I believe.....Would love to ride one some day... tp
I dislike the lack of a handle for the center stand. The passenger grab handle is just too far backward to help; at least in my case. I have to grab it from under the passenger peg, but the metal is too sharp underneath, so will smooth it out.
I never had an issue with putting mine on the center stand, but I recall at least one company that makes an add on handle for that. Here's a link:The third pic, are they selling a lift handle or Viagra. Sorry,it's been a very long day.

Good news. After reinstalling the battery [...]
Good news. After reinstalling the battery (this time with the connections tight), and doing the TPS relearn with kill switch in both on and off positions, bike fired up instantly, and at high-idle (1,300 rpm or so). AWESOME! Also adjusted the lights, which were dangerously low; MUCH better now. I dislike the lack of a handle for the center stand. The passenger grab handle is just too far backward to help; at least in my case. I have to grab it from under the passenger peg, but the metal is too sharp underneath, so will smooth it out. Set tire pressures at 40/42, and seems to be perfect. Disabled the flashing 'alarm', set the clock, set brake linking to 'solo', and it's ready to go anywhere. What a great machine. Glad I decided to get the Connie instead of the FJR or K1600GT.
What do you mean by "Disabled the flashing 'alarm'"? B.D.F has a product to disable the low fuel warning panic screen. But I still get a low TPMS battery panic screen. What "alarm" are you referring to?
