Washed and waxed her and then went for a nice long ride.
Helped a friend ( new street rider) pick up his 2015 KTM 1190R. Man is that thing tall. Nice looking bike with all those colours together.Interesting choice of bike for a street noob...
Gave him a quick lesson in street riding. The three most important things about street bike riding.
1- no one sees you.
2- no one sees you.
3- they're all blind and can't see you.
He's been riding dirt bikes for a number of years, so it was just the street transition for his assimilation.
Motorcycle Learners requires a listened rider to follow up here.
We then rode to some of the smaller towns south west of Calgary on some of the secondary highways. Watched a BMW rider get pulled over for speeding past us. Anyways it was a pleasure to watch him on his new ride, brought back some memories of picking up my new bikes.
All before 7am? Yuck!!

Installed highway pegs on the canyon cages and installed the rear crash bars. Only had time for about 30 miles tonight, but really liking the pegs! It'll take a few shots to get them adjusted to where I want them, but it's great being able to stretch the legs a bit. Rivco 1" clamps and Rivco anti-vibration highway pegs. That is the same set up I installed on my 09 about a month ago. My bike is black and just did not want any chrome on it. I do like the rivco pegs.
I think I'll move the clamps to the front vertical bar right above the bar they're currently on. I also liked laying my legs on the pegs instead of putting my feet on them it seemed.
Maybe better get another cup o' jo.
