Painted the rims, handle bars, rear grad handles swing arm, drive housing and any silver metals black. I think it looks a whole lot better. What did you use for paint ?
Got a quote of $250 to reseal the front forks.
Scored an entire front end including triple trees for $255.
Like a boss!
Tom, some think its a curse
I did the rear tire first, and I used the stupid contraption on this tire machine that holds the upper part of the center (axle) rod. It was more of a hinderance than a help. When I did the front tire, I did it just as how the machine looks here. Easy peasy! I have now saved my first $60 dollars in tire expense. However, I have about $250 into getting my own equipment.
This is the Pit Posse balancer that I bought from amazon for $50. Very nice sturdy balancer.
What did you use for paint ?I used Krylon Cover Max rattle can black satin and shot it with clear, just did a lot of prep on the parts...the silver parts left are going to be powder coated because they are in places the boots will rub on them..
I ordered new oem brake pads for front and rear today. I can't believe the cost. It's the bend over and grab your ankles kind of expensive! (easy boys)

That's why I went with EBC's. No bending over required...
But you have to deal with noisy brakes instead, or at least I've read many complaints about ebc.

Generally speaking, they do stop squealing after you break them in.
Are we still talking brakes here?
