To kill the engine press the button on the handle bars with left thumb. Rinnnnnggg ding ding ding, da dinnnnnnnngggg...We used to mount those on our street bikes, left side...for shifting. BMW went a step further and calls it Shift Assist.
We used to mount those on our street bikes, left side...for shifting. BMW went a step further and calls it Shift Assist.Makes sense. Shift Assist or quick shifters are cool, but I don't normally feel the need to get into the next gear that fast. Learned the feathered clutch technique decades ago, and it suffices when needed. I do love slipper clutches for down shifting, that's for sure. tp
What did you do to your Concours today?
I certainly encouraged Max to keep washing. The best exercise I ever had. It really was pointless, though. He would wash one side and go the other and the side he washed first was full of pollen again. That's what happens when you wash a bike, it gets dirty again and you have to do it all over again. Hold on, I have to get a beer. Be right back. You know, I really need a steak as well.
Ok, I'm back. Rode down to Norfolk to do a job this morning and then rode back (after seeing Max, of course)...couple of hundred miles or so. Traffic was backed up 6 miles to HRBT so I turned around went the long way to the other tunnel (MM). Traffic was a bi*** so I got off on 17 and went north from there.
Had a city light go out. Saw what Max had and I think I'm going to do the same once he tells me what he got for his bike. The cushy drive came in today so I'll probably be putting that in next weekend along with RandRing the rear of the bike. It will be interesting to see if there is any wear on it. I'll keep you posted.
? ? ?+1. Even google didn't have any idea what Jim meant. I'm sure he will enlighten us soon... tp
+1. Even google didn't have any idea what Jim meant. I'm sure he will enlighten us soon... tpThe best I got from google was a German butterfly.
Sounds good to me. I like butterflies. What, gonna leave us in suspense? Google did mention something in Hindi, but didn't think Jim spoke Hindi. Could be wrong....
What, gonna leave us in suspense? Google did mention something in Hindi, but didn't think Jim spoke Hindi. Could be wrong....Might be something he picked up on the Silk Road on the way to Outremer.
I do have a pic but first more beer and a steak...trying Blue Moon. Tastes pretty good with the orange slice in it.Not that there's anything wrong with that....
Not that there's anything wrong with that....Titos my friend, Titos. Goes with anything or nothing at all. tp
Actually on 4-8-15 at Bastrop state park, TX, camping for MotoGP.No sweat. You got to watch MotoGP, and that's what really counts. I remember going to TransAm and Inter Am MX races in the early 70s. Nothing else mattered, than watching and shooting pictures of the world's best, DeCoster, Gabores, Ake, Hikki, etc, and Americans Tripes, Hannah, etc. Had to be there to understand the thrill. Burned out lights was just a side note, right..... tp
Noticed the night before in LA a headlight was out.
Had an aftermarket HID kit.
No names because it was an ok kit with great customer service!
Get used to two headlights and having only one sucks!
Especially if the light ain't going where it should.
Anywho, in about 45 minutes, tore the bike down and pulled the HID system and plugged the sockets with Sylvania H4 Ultra Super-Duper-Blah-Blah-Blah
Love it!
Sorry, the dumpster containg the HID got cleared the next morning.
No pictures, it didn't happen?
It did.
Too irritated, and darkness coming, to horse around!
