FJR has no KiPassAnd apparently it looks flabby and weak.
FJR has no KiPass
All the FJR owners I know are most grateful of that fact every time they ride their bike.I've never had one.single.issue with the Kipass on BOTH of my C14s so I don't really get the reasons why they'd be "thankful" not to have it.

KiPass is the most favorite part of my bike.
I snicker at the FJR's lack of 6th gear, lack of HP, etc.
But i laugh like $#%^ at its the lack of KiPass

My brother-in-law bought a new Road King. Believe it or not, it also has a fob.Why is it that I can only picture a Harley fob as being encased in black leather with a fringe?
Before I bought the bike I thought the Kpass was a waste, but I am coming around. I've lost count of how many times I've had to take my gloves back off to fish my key out of my pocket on my other bikes. With the Connie, just hop on, push down, wait for the click and turn it on. Get to the store, park the bike turn it off and walk away. Definitely spoiling me.
I would feel the same way if I didn't have to access my side cases nearly every single trip. I STILL have to fumble for an awkward in-fob key or take the stovepipe out to open them, saving me nothing. Actually, I'd rather carry a smaller key in my pocket vs. a fat fob.

Actually, I'd rather carry a smaller key in my pocket vs. a fat fob.I just leave my FOB in my riding jacket (or vest) and never have to touch it. When I stop and park, I store my helmet in my left bag by removing the stove key to unlock it, but that's not as much of a hassle as you seem to make it sound.
I leave this in my saddle bags and use it when it's time for fuelSo you made yourself an extra? That's sweet but I don't see why it's so difficult to use the one in the ignition for fuel and bags. Am I missing something here? Is there some kind of lock on the new models that made it really hard to get the stove key out?

Actually, I'd rather carry a smaller key in my pocket vs. a fat fob.As I've told my kids many times, accurately describing the problem is often very close to accurately describing the solution. All you have to do is get a "normal" key cut and put it on your key-ring. Then your wish has come true.
The only time my stove key has been out in 52,000 miles is when Blbrd from this forum met me at the dealership and showed me it comes out. My bike has zero miles on itYou mean you haven't yet driven your new one?!
