It is really impossible to estimate how many rotors have failed on C-14s but I think there have been too many to call it rare. I don't think it is really a chronic problem but it is common enough that it seems to be expected by dealers, at least those that I have spoken with about this issue.

That was very disappointing. I thought you could do much better than that!  :rotflmao:

My dealer was great about the whole process, and I have absolutely zero problems to report after 5,000 miles, with quite a bit of hard braking.  Hopefully you can get a set quickly so you can feel the difference for yourself.

Sorry but another adult and I were having a conversation. OK, what can I do for you, little boy? Would you like to rant about something? Perhaps how the entire world hates you and picks on you? About how you have been wronged and no one will listen to you about it? Go ahead dear, we are all paying rapt attention....

There, was that better?  ;D

Brian, I think you should have taken what Cap'nBob as a compliment since you have a reputation for setting the bar so high when it to comes technical information.............. and floating KiPass fobs in an adult beverage.  ;D

I think this thread needs a Kirby sighting!

I don't know about Kirby helping here- in the past he has shown contempt for those unable to master 'press, release, turn' as a sequence....  ;D

Besides that I don't let the squirrelly little fella' out much at the moment. He is also being petulant because I did not take him across the US with me; apparently he has heard about all the scantily clad college squirrels on the pacific coast and thought he could party with them. Kirby is just an old, stiff fella and would break something if he tried to move too fast.... or move at all.

How are they in the rain?

I am an utter chicken when it comes to lean, dry or wet, but I can attest that those Angel's have very good traction. I use to play with my rear brake on the ramp to my underground garage. The stones would loose traction immediatly and activate the ABS, while with the Pirelli's I practically have to step on the brake pedal to wake up the ABS. Otherwise it brakes much harder, and it's much more confidence inspiring in the turns. Hope that helps. I don't know how they stand compared to other tires, though, like the Michelins Pilot Road 3, but maybe somebody can comment on those.

That's good to know. After going through this issue twice, I'm hoping I never have to do it again.

True but I do not think we have uncovered the <real> issue yet either..... I don't want to say the <k-word> though and ruin an otherwise perfectly bad thread.
