Bats are protected critters!
I would wager that if you had some of their "bat" you might find yourself saying, "Wow, it tastes like chicken!"

Burton Cafe in Burton, Texas. Out on the back-roads west of Brenham. Great RTE if you're riding the hill country area! Authentic German food and excellent pies!!!!

Place was so good I went back today and took Teressa, but didn't take more pics
I'll have to give it a try next time I'm in Austin visiting my brother. But I didn't know Burton or anywhere east of Austin was considered hill country.
Yeah, true Hill Country is west of here. Burton is one of the stops we make on the way back from riding central Texas (heading back to Houston). You do start to get the topography created by the limestone just east and north of here. The bluebonnets are the thing to really see out this way in the Spring!
