I'll have to give it a try next time I'm in Austin visiting my brother. But I didn't know Burton or anywhere east of Austin was considered hill country.
Rhino, another good RTE in this area is the Southern Flyer Diner at the Brenham Municipal Airport. 50's style diner where all the waitresses wear the whole poodle skirt outfits! Good food too!!!!!!

Yeah, true Hill Country is west of here. Burton is one of the stops we make on the way back from riding central Texas (heading back to Houston). You do start to get the topography created by the limestone just east and north of here. The bluebonnets are the thing to really see out this way in the Spring!
Don't know how we got away from this place without getting a good bike picture! Does the very top of my windshield count?
The Loveless Cafe is at the very end of the Natchez Trace, southwest of Nashville. By far one of my favorite eating spots of any bike trip I've done!
Great roads around that area too. Only complaint about the Trace is the speed limit. The max speed limit is 50mph, but also has a long stretch that is only 40! And don't think of exceeding that because it's patrolled I swear every few miles!! They'll stop you for just a few over the limit.
A great little place for breakfast in Creede CO
This was a cool 110 yr old bar about 1 hr outside of Cody WY
Bagel Stop Café in Parker CO. Great assortment of bagels and excellent bagel sandwiches. And as you can tell from the signs in the windows, they now have WiFi.
Rhino its on HWY 120 maybe Dry Creek or Meeteetse? We were coming North on 120 From Worland its quite the little place well worth the stop just for the history of the place.
