I'll have to give it a try next time I'm in Austin visiting my brother. But I didn't know Burton or anywhere east of Austin was considered hill country.

Rhino, another good RTE in this area is the Southern Flyer Diner at the Brenham Municipal Airport. 50's style diner where all the waitresses wear the whole poodle skirt outfits! Good food too!!!!!!

Those Burton pics are driving me crazy. I'd so love to rock my camera gear and studio lighting on a model and a bike with those scenes I'm seeing

If you're in the Texas Hill Country... stop in at Mac and Ernies in Tarpley!     I haven't been in a few years, but awesome food the last time I was there... and they never disappointed when I had lunch or dinner there!

The Lonestar MC Museum in Vanderpool is pretty cool too... has a few decent Aussie Pie's too.

Yeah, true Hill Country is west of here. Burton is one of the stops we make on the way back from riding central Texas (heading back to Houston). You do start to get the topography created by the limestone just east and north of here. The bluebonnets are the thing to really see out this way in the Spring!

South of Burton (south of I-10), is Halletsville... great little BBQ spot there called Novasad's.  8)

The last 2 times I was riding the hill country at about 3:00pm I found myself in Fredericksburg and the Altdorf Biergarten. A tall weissbier and some schnitzel on a hot afternoon sitting in the shade is life. 8)

Next time a pic with the C14.

Don't know how we got away from this place without getting a good bike picture! Does the very top of my windshield count?

The Loveless Cafe is at the very end of the Natchez Trace, southwest of Nashville. By far one of my favorite eating spots of any bike trip I've done!
Great roads around that area too. Only complaint about the Trace is the speed limit. The max speed limit is 50mph, but also has a long stretch that is only 40! And don't think of exceeding that because it's patrolled I swear every few miles!! They'll stop you for just a few over the limit.

+1 on the Old Firehouse Café in Creede.

Where is the place near Cody? I can't quite make out the name. My brother has a ranch in Otto WY, about 50 miles from Cody so I go up there often.

If you find yourself in Bisbee, AZ, good food and good service!  :D

When this pic was made, 01-17-10, I'd only had the bike for two months.
Still had the 'tater launcher on it!  :o

Bagel Stop Café in Parker CO. Great assortment of bagels and excellent bagel sandwiches. And as you can tell from the signs in the windows, they now have WiFi.

Must give the place a shot... for the wifi, of course.  8)

Rhino its on HWY 120 maybe Dry Creek or Meeteetse? We were coming North on 120 From Worland its quite the little place well worth the stop just for the history of the place.

I think I've only done 120 from Cody to Thermopolis once. My brother lives off of 30 west of Basin so I usually take 739 out of Thermopolis instead of 120. 120 looks interesting on the map and I'll have to check it out next time I'm up that way.

Another from 2010, forgot about my Photobucket.   :P
Playing "state tag" in AZ.  Vicksburg Rd. & US60.  Salome, AZ   ;)

Today.
The Great Outdoors Restaurant, High Springs, FL.

It was late afternoon so we had appetizers.
Fried gator tail bites, of course. Sometimes they can be chewy, these were not, and the batter didn't overpower the meat. Nice!
I'm a fool for nachos!   :-\
Theirs features pulled pork, roasted corn, tomatoes, jalapenos not from a jar, bb-q sauce (not a lot), cheese, sour cream and guacamole on the side. Probably forgot something. Good chips!?  Yummers!
Think I finally found my go-to place!   ;D
There is also a bar and patio area under the guise of Springhouse Tavern attached. Live music on the patio.
Forgot to ask where the micro-brews came from. ::) No sign of a brewery on site...on this visit.  :)
