So the prior owner had a Throttlemeister for 2 years, but never installed it. I put it on over the weekend. No shims on the throttle side did the trick. Hot Grips are installed and throttle locked up best with no shims. I did the same on the clutch side, no shims. I noticed zero buzz through the bars with the stock end weights on. Now when I sit at 80 mph indicated, I get some buzzing on the clutch side only. The throttle side has absolutely zero buzz at any rpm. I thought that was so odd as any other bike I've ridden, if there was buzz, the throttle side is always worse. So I pulled off the clutch side and put 1 of the slim shims on and didn't notice much of a change. My ride after the throttlemeister install was only 20min or so, and after putting the shim was even shorter, but I can see this slight buzz at 80 mph on long trips might not feel too good. Any thoughts? I noticed the stock bar ends have some rubber dampening material in them. May be why I didn't notice any buzz. I could try another shim..... I'd say grip puppies, which I love, but these Hot Grips are pretty fat already and adding the pups would make them huge. I'd say put the OEM bar end on the clutch side, but the throttlemeister is polished and if it was the black model, I'd do it. I guess if it bothers me too much, I'd say the hell with looks and throw the stock one on the clutch side anyhow.
