Heli Horizon ST bars installed

WOW!!! what a difference these bars make. Not only in comfort, but the bike seems to handle better due to the bars being slightly wider in stance. The install took about 2 hours and was very easy. Hardest part was removing the left grip. A little alcohol made that job alot easier. After a few adjustments and getting the bars to fit me I took a quick 70 mile ride for the final analysis. Arms are now slightly bent at the elbows, seating position is much more relaxed, no hand numbness, no back or neck pain, and slow tight turns were effortless.
  Overall, IMHO, these bars are worth thier weight in gold. I'll be selling the risers and wedges.

Also, they do not get in the way of my tank bag. However, it is a small low profile bag.

When I changed to LSL's I used a heat gun , you need to wear a glove when you twist it off ouch.

I am undecided still.  I have had good results with the Helibar non-Horizons, coupled with the wedges.  Plus, I do like the integrated RAM ball and powerlet (neither of which the Horizons have, which is pretty shocking considering the price).  Plus I am horrified about the idea of my trying to remove the powered grips without damaging them (just Grip Puppies alone gave me fits).  Also would be concerned if the Horizons would offer the same magic angle of the wedges that cured most of my pain/nerve problems.

Did you swap out the brake and or clutch cables?

I used the cable extension lines that came with the kit. Heli does offer a single line for brake and clutch (not an extension) but it's an additional $50.

I didn't get a chance this past weekend to get mine installed.  Did go on a ride with the wifey into Orange and Madsion counties (Virginia).  Didn't have any problems with my neck.  I was quite surprised at that.  It seems that having a passenger changed the ergos to the point where I was sitting straighter on the bike.  So I could have saved the money on the bars and just have my wife ride with me all the time.
