If you do a search you will find several threads that discuss the great benefits of the 190/55.
But it basically quickens the turn in due to the steeper profile and increased height. To me, it also feels more stable while leaned over in a curve.
More reasons to love a 190/55 rear? The bike goes up on the center stand easier.. And the speedo error is all but corrected... If I have a choice when I need a rear tire, ill stick with the 55. In a pinch, I would use a 50, if i run into a back order problem with the 55's
And a higher tire = higher seat... which is a *HUGE* negative for those of us trying to get the bike as low as possible. Just saying...
