The cap came in Saturday. It was a quick and simple swap (just three screws).
IMHO this is a very well made part. It's very simular to the ones in the photos that stevewfl posted (OPP Racing), but is much cheeper.
And for less than $50 to my door, I'm more than happy with my purchase.

Looks good.  Let us know how it holds up in a followup review.  Is the cap easy to use?

Thanks! Will do! Yep, just push, twist a 1/4 turn, release. Reverse that to install.  ;D

Had to open it up Monday to re-fuel. Simple and easy! No fumbeling with a key.  ;D

The other style wanted grease on the threads, which didn't last long and then became hard to screw on with the fine threads.  How does that quarter turn work?

Seals with an o-ring and the cap is held in place by a bolted on tab that mates with two groves that are machined into the base. The center of the cap is spring loaded so that there is a clamping force that keeps the o-ring tight against the base when the cap is in place. It's a simple and effective design IMHO.

I bought one of these and installed it over the weekend. I agree that it's well made and an easy install. Another happy customer here.

I originally ordered a silver base with a black cap. Then I was thinking the black cap might be hard to find after dropping it. They said that they had a black base and silver cap in stock, I said to send that. I am glad I did. Looks great.

Bump!

There are some who are having issues with the lock on the OEM fuel cap. Just want to bump this thread back to the top for those who are having issuse as a possible solution to their issues.
