Hey guys,
on my trip to the draqon s tail last august, hot asphalt and a little slope on the parking cause the bike to fall on his side in Front Royal.
Little damage but anyway, i decided to have it repair
the damage
the side case
close look on the side panel
damage were limited since the bike partially fell on a Chevy Traverse beside with no damage to the SUV
when storage for winter came, i bought a new lower fearing panel.
Sent the side case to the paint shop. I ll have the top case and the side deflector (some chips) paint at the same time. 300$ ouch
now this is the interesting part. My friend does some car polishing and he s really good. So i gave him the side panel since the scratch were not that deep.
this is how it came back
he told me that the tickness of the clear is 66% less than on average car paint. He went trough the clear coat with a soft pad and not heat at all
this the best he could do. i ll leave it like that since most damage are not to visible.
Somebody told me that every time a bike with fearing fell it s alomost 1000$
well so far it cost me around 500$
