I replaced all of the instrument cluster lights, sanded and painted the bags on my 2000 C-10 using Krylon Fusion matte black.
All went well.

Replaced the oil filter and o-rings.  Refilled the sump with Rotella-T.  Oiled and replaced the air filter.  Continued the sponge bath while I wait for the parts from Ron Ayers to ship.

Replaced the broken right mirror, adjusted air pressures in the tires, rear shock, adjusted settings on the front forks.  Looked at, stared at, and appologized for trying to sell her earlier in the Spring!  Now if it ever stops snowing up here, i can take advantage of the adjustments.  I sure hope she doesn't take my trying to sell her personally!!

Performed Baffle-ectomy today using 1-1/8" hole saw and extension. EASY modification, took all of 5 min. A soon as the rain clears up we'll take her out for a test ride.

Did a carb sync at the wrench fest yesterday, last time it was done was at the 600 mile break-in service a week after I purchased it back in '99.  Mileage now is 146,325.....I guess it was overdue??? :o

Still working on painting my bags.  Was thrilled to find out the plastic filler I applied to the previous owners scratches didn't set up.  What a sticky mess!

Anyone used a good plastic filler/bondo stuff they can recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Pulled the water pump and gave it new o-rings and seal...finished putting the '97 forks and wheel on my '88...and bled the brakes...

Think I'm gonna save the rear wheel and final drive swap until after next week-end...

Thanks Stasch for the front fender info...I like it!!!

How out of sync was it?

It was about 1/2 a milibar( I guess that's the proper terminology?? ).  Anyway, it wasn't off by much.  And...YES, I DID notice the difference on the way home!

Replaced the speedo drive gear on my '92.  It died at approx 45k.  It lasted 10k longer then the one on my '89 ZX10 lasted.  Seems like a consistent issue with K's from that era.....
But - it gave me an excuse to pull the wheel and give it a good cleaning.

Check the wheel bearings too! Mine usually are shot every 30k or so.

Also finished backs using Duplicolor truck bed liner spray and covered in saten black.

Replaced all clutch/brake fluids.  Pic shown is what I found....

404, that's some truly nasty stuff.

Ordered in new clutch springs, star springs, gasket, and nut. I gets to have me some clutch recondition time before the national.

Removed the 36mm carbs from my 86 ZX1000R so I can send them to SISF for cleaning and setting up, to compliment the installation of his power cams on my 99 connie.

Rode the **** out her for 100 or so miles on the Sacramento Delta without the pylon mounted speed limiter.  ;) I just had to make really sure I had done a proper job on the fork seals last week. This week has a valve adjust and general tune up scheduled. I may have to flog her for 200 or so miles to ensure that is done correctly. ;D
