Well, technically, it was two days ago, but I fired her up for the first time since last Fall.
Took a bit of coaxing, but she warmed up and ran great!
Wait till you get some fresh fuel and a clean path! :o

While technically still winter, I now consider it to be spring as I took her to work today, about a 93 mile round trip.   Took it easy on the way in and had a bit of fun on the way home.

I hope we don't pay for this in april,

Straightened out my warped left front rotor.  It started off being out by just over 20 thousandth's and when I finished going at it with two cresent wrenches it was out .001 in one direction and .0012 in the other.

Installed a new battery after the last one lasted far longer than it should have.

rolled it over to the edge of the open garage door so it could see the snow mixed with rain...so it would know that I was not just ignoring it...fired it up and let it warm up to full operating temp...keeps the battery charged...hopefully I will have a dry day soon.

Yesterday she came out for her first ride of 2012. Gotta love the Deka AGM battery. I didn't touch the bike since last November and the thing started right up.

While not the fastest bike out there, it felt like it after riding the KLR all winter.

Mind the ventilation if you fire her up inside the Garage.

Took the cycle and Wife up to Fond du Lac to visit Mother-in-law for St. Pat's Day.  Mom likes a Guiness once in a while too.  Nice warm 140 mile round trip.

Installed new plug wires (still had the original, 12 year-old Kawasaki wires, which were toast...), and removed the side scoops. I'm tired of the dancing on the highway for a meagre amount of extra air on my feet. Went without a hitch, and if anything, I noticed she feels like she's got more 'oomph.'

Re-installed my fender extender with 2-sided tape after I noticed it was starting to get loose on one side.  First tape job lasted 2 years, used different tape this time, we'll see how long it lasts this time.

Yesterday I tightened up my steering head bearings a little.  Got rid of a little clunk I was getting over sharp bumps.
