Anyone Buy A 2015 Yet?
« on: March 30, 2015, 06:01:22 PM »
Curious about what these are going for.
I can get one out the door with an additional 2 year warranty for $16,900.  That's set up, tax, license, 2 year warranty, etc.
Basically $2000 off MSRP.

Yeah the dealership posted theirs for 13,200 before their robberies.

Not three year?
I asked for 3, he said only two was available.  But he also told me it only came with a 1 year warranty.  I had to correct him.

You should be able to get more than that off. Sit there and haggle they aren't there to do you any favors. I always for that exact vehicles purchase receipt. They look at me weird and go talk to the manager who provides it for me. I mark up their purchase price a little and tell them that's my final offer and that I don't really need the bike from them anyway. usually works out well.

Make sure that is a Kawasaki warranty and not some crappy dealer warranty.  Normally buyers want to add 3 years to the 3 year warranty.... it is 100% transferable to any owner, so it adds to the value of the bike.

Might want to check his pricing- sounds like full MSRP to me...
Shoodaben (was Guhl) Mountain Runner ECU flash, Canyon Cages front/rear, Helibars risers, Phil's wedges, Grip Puppies, Sargent World seat-low & heated & pod, Muzzy lowering links, Soupy's stand, Nautilus air horn, Admore lightbar, Ronnie's highway pegs, front running lights, all LED, helmet locks, RAM Xgrip, Sena SMH10, Throttle Tamer, MRA X-Creen, BearingUp Shifter, PR4-GT, Scorpion EXO-T1200,etc

That price sounds high to me.
A guy (elp_jc) I know bought one here in Texas New Mexico I'll try to get him to answer here.
I think he paid a lot less (I think $15,000) and got a 3 year.
Also I met Big Jim at a Ride at Big bend last week. he got about the same deal in Texas.

They can post the details, but the difference in $16,900 and $15,000 might make it worth a flight to Texas/New Mexico,,, and ride it home.
Plus, it would be a nice (err break in) Ride.

Ride safe, Ted

Paid $15,000.00 out-the-door cash back in January (27th, to be precise), and it was one of the first bikes, so supposedly harder to get a great deal. However, that included a $500 customer rebate dealers didn't advertise much because they could 'cash it in' without buyers knowing about it. Somebody posted a link, and dealer accepted it with no questions asked. Anyway, my tax was 6.25%, for price calculations. Dealers can add a crapload of junk fees, and that brought 2 deals down when attempting to buy TWO leftover 2014 models supposedly 'out the door'. Therefore, it's always better to negotiate an 'out-the-door' price, but to avoid the crap I went thru, just rephrase that with 'the amount I'm going to write a check for, including ALL fees'. If you need to sign something to that effect due to financing or something, WRITE DOWN exactly that, to avoid getting tacked on hundreds of dollars for crap dealers conveniently call part of TTL. Good luck.

That dealer is hosed...

The OEM warrenty is 36 months, you can buy 2 additional 36 mo KPP plans, see the post I made to you in the thread about extended warranties... best of luck...
When you call about warranty, which I highly suggest, ask PETE for an out the door price on a '15. He gurantees he will beat anyones price on a new machine, tell him I told you this, we are good freinds... you might get a price soo good it would cover you to fly to Va pick it up, and ride home...and still beat your dealers price...

Even tho his site is showing the $15,499 + extras price, that is what KAW requires him to advertise at... he can sell it for whatever he wants to sell it for, so don't be discouraged about "posted msrp" pricing on any website.  We have spoken about this many times, and he always comes thru, the online prices are driven by Kawasaki mandates... actual price from him is always lower, by far.

Best of luck.

Buy a 15?  I have not even SEEN a 2015 C14!  I've been in 6 Kawi dealers, and none of them had one out.
