08 ABS bought new in early Aug 2007.
40,827 miles since then and almost 18,000 in the last year.

Only problem I have had is one of the clutch friction plates disintegrated @ 37,000 miles.
When I replaced the clutch friction plates and the thrust springs I had to replace one of the steel plates as well.
Due to me being a doofus I replaced it with one that was too thin (2.3mm).
This led to more clutch slip which I finally fixed a few weeks back with a complete set of friction and steel plates (all 2.6mm).
Clutch is now great and she soldiers on. The complete set cost me around $250 which ain't bad.

'08 ABS purchased in Aug of '07.  Problems with the rotors, other than that, nothing.

Isn't this a duplicate of http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=146.0 other than the poll?

Convince me why I shouldn't merge this with the other one started by MOB (Rich)?  I'm open to convincing....maybe, possibly, beer helps.  ;)
I'm not opposed to a merge with MOB, all I was looking at was the poll.  Whatever works best is fine by me :D

I bought it new in November of 2010. Zero problems, it runs perfect and looks even better. But
now that I have a travel trailer I probably will be putting less miles on the bike now.  I don't think it has been out of the garage for about 3 weeks.   :-\ :-[

09 bought new 1/5/09.  Have exactly 25,516 miles on her now.  She's burned thru 2 sets of rotors, will be going on 3rd set soon, I'm sure.  Just put on 4th set of rubber.  I've was rearended @ 15k, $2k damage... valves, plugs, filter done @ 17k... bike has run like new since.

My 08 had about 23,000 miles at three years old when I traded her in! But she was also one of three bikes in the stable!

I merged this with the original post on bike history.  Well, not original but close enough.  I want to keep this stuff in one place.

Guys, I really hate (not really, I kind of enjoy it) to be a stickler but for the kind of information going in this thread I would prefer it to be on topic.  Thanks.

hmmmmmmm.....
that's why I created a thread just for documenting purchase date, place of purchase, vin number, owner name and pricing....so we wouldn't have to read about everyones tire changes, oil filters and all the other stuff....it was intended to be a factual thread/record on purchase histories... now we can weed thru tons of other stuff just to try to figure out how many were sold, and where....arggggggggggggg

not what I intended. Thanks. :( >:( :'(

Oxford hotgrips
Radguard
Sheepskin seat cover
+80 bulbs

Killed 7 sets of tyres (PR2 current favourite), and 2 sets of front pads...that's about it.

Fuel mileage http://www.fuelly.com/driver/banditrider/concours-zg1400.

A place to document your C14 and the road to ultimate farkledom.  Keep it simple.
Date purchased, model year and ABS/KTRC or non ABS
Where purchased
Last 4 of vin
Farkles with miles when added and overall impression of farkle.  Updated as things go.

This was a lengthy thread before Kirby broke into Ricks place and chewed up the powersupply.  Lets see how we do.

Kawasaki 1400GTR with ABS in Black, purchased new from John E. Vines Kawasaki in Rayleigh, Essex, UK on 5 August 2007.
Have no idea what the VIN is but they are usually different from the US structure so doubt if it'd be of any use.

Farkles are;
2000 miles - Fenda Extenda, very useful
2000 miles - Home-made ally plate rack for mounting my NonFango trunk, solid as a rock.
6000 miles - Calsci +6" screen, the best!
7000 miles - Michelin PR2s fitted, second best tyres I have ever used on a motorcycle.
8000 miles - Russell Daylong saddle, awesome all day comfort, had to sell due to unemployment :-(
10000 miles - Skidmarx hugger, good but would be better if it was a full length fender
10000 miles - GTR1000 (C10) rear pegs fitted
10000 miles - KB bar risers from Murphs (since sold)
20000 miles - Cigarette lighter socket mounted in fairing along with 4 way fuse box.
20000 miles - HF80 horns from Murphs
33000 miles - Michelin PR3s fitted. Best tyres ever!
Currently @ 48000 miles and planning on buying another Russell Daylong.

2008 Non-ABS.  Purchased new August 2007.  Currently 35K miles.

Cal Sci X-large windscreen,  Murphs risers and lowered footpegs, Audiovox cruise, Motorcycle Larry passenger peg extenders with C10 passenger pegs, Shad 46L topcase from Murph, Starcomm Intercom, Techmount GPS mount,  Rick Mayer dual leather saddle.  I run PR2's

Currently at the bike shop to get the missing #2 cylinder exhaust nuts replaced.  Too cold for me to mess with it. This is the only mechanical problem I've ever had.

SEP 2010- 2008 non-ABS with 19,000 miles traded my M109R to a Honda dealer in Marshall, TX and haven't looked back.
Already on the bike- Givi SR 410 rack and K&N air filter

OCT 2010-
Bought a cut down stock seat (didn't like it)
NOV 2010-
Murphs risers
VStream
Oxford heated grips
Grip puppies
JC Whitney style cheapo trunk with homemade LED Tail/Brake lights (worked great for almost a year)
JAN 2011-
PCV
A&R HID lights
Flyectomy
Chopped nine inches off the bazooka (worked for me until I installed the Muzzy's)
Auxillary fuse block in the glove box
Multi use guage for voltage and temperature
APR 2011-
Sargent seat
Stebel Nautilus air horn with Murphs wiring harness
Murphs Wedges (didn't care for the angle)
SEP 2011-
Givi E52 Maxia with more homemade turn/brake LEDs to replace my broken cheapo trunk
NOV 2011-
Penske 8393 shock
Muzzy ZX-14 full exhaust
Auto Tune
TechSpec tank protection
Murph's lowering pegs (didn't care for them and went back to stock)

Future-
Ohlins fork rebuild

Not really a farkle but PR2/PR3 or Angel in a size 190/55 is a great addition, I highly recommend it.

Currently have 42,000 something miles and plan on riding the wheels off of my C14.

Keeping the economy going, one tank of fuel and two tires at a time.
