I didn't measure the rotors thinness but its amazing how thin they are with some huge grooves to boot.  Guess I'll measure them noisy biatches.

Regardless, they're going on a 1200 mile trip this upcoming weekend.....   mother's day in columbia and seafood in charleston sc  :D
I measured mine several thousand miles back and they were right at the service limit. However I have not noticed any issues with the brakes yet. But I suspect when the current pads start to get thin it could be trouble.

Have a good ride to SC and back!

Right, 3.97 mm
Left, 3.91  mm

And I have a trip to the Carolinas yet on these thin rotors

Don't use the brakes and you'll be fine...at least until you have to stop.

yeah, I've been using the Flintstone method anyway with the 3.91 mm thin rotor going on  ;D

These are performing just fine.

Yeah, that's probably what I will get when mine wear down too. It's crazy! I replaced the rotors on my vehicle for less than $100.00, yet it costs 5x as much to have them replaced on my bike.

It can go even farther ;)

I am getting a Kevlar/CF bash plate custom made for the GS, need more clearance and less weight is always good on a DS bike.  I am also going to endup pulling a front rotor for weight reasons.  I wonder, if I went CF rotors front and back how much would I shave off?  I'd also eliminate the front fender due to mud packing and sudden front lockups.  Looks pretty badass as well.

How's that for an off topic turn? ;D  AND still on topic of sorts ;)

Both wheels off my bike, rotors removed, and brake pads are out of calipers.

New rotors/pads front and rear tomorrow  8)
