Has anyone mentioned a digital speedo?  I get tired of looking at the MPG or tire pressure and would love the option to show a digital speedo on the main display (in addition to the analog one even).

As long as the analog one doesn't disappear.  I would love having both, but would *HATE* having a digital only speedometer.   The nice thing is that change could be made completely through software, costing $0 in parts or tooling.... could even be flashed to older bikes.  It *is* a shame that the display is not used for more things, and more things at once.

Black wheels,  smaller mirrors,  loose some weight. How can you argue with that  :-\

5pages in and nobody remarked about the exhaust.
I guess everyone is O.K. with the stock can then.

I would like to see
 dual exhaust
 self canceling signals
 speedo in the display
 dimmer hi beam light
 flatter seat
 tip over protection
 better option list
choice on linked brakes and trac. control - bring the price down
bring back the tank storage compartment

Actually, I don't see the point of dual exhaust on a ST like the Concours and have absolutely no problem/beef with the stock setup.  But I totally agree with the rest of your list.

For the "touring" side of the bike- maybe a high power, compact ROCKIN stereo!
I typically have ear buds in with music at very low volume so I can still hear the traffic around me.  But on short errands, it might be fun to have a stereo.

I think they should add everything all posters have mentioned. In addition to that, they should make multiple choices wherever a choice might present itself in areas such as secondary 'flies mapping, economy mode (not just one mode but a sliding scale in one- percent increments), traction control (we should be able to bring the front wheel up but only to the pre-set height, in inches and, of course, meters), the brake link system (all us to like our brakes together across different bikes so when we ride in a group, we all slow down together). Finally, I think this new model should have the price dropped by at least 10%.

Just a thought but you folks should be careful of what you ask for- the Ford Edsel was the first customer driven design automobile. It incorporated as many of the 'improvements' desired by the car buying public as possible after extensive polling. The result was a massive marketing failure for Ford that cost them in the neighborhood of $400,000,000.00 Apparently the public thought it was overpriced and was not sure just where it fit into the Ford auto lineup. So when the public demands things from manufacturers that public is going to get them- more and more as the years go by. Most people will NOT like at least some of the improvements but one thing is certain- we will all pay for all the changes.

i also do not know anyone who hasnt added risers to his bike, hey kawi how about designing the bike for american sport touring riders who happen to average more than 5 4 in height.

no risers here, and I am 6'3. I can't imagine the bars being any higher than they are - already feels like I am sitting my head on my hands when I crank it over in a turn.

I would like to see direct injection to increase power AND fuel economy.
Keeping the economy going, one tank of fuel and two tires at a time.

I just love my Blue 2010 abs C-14!!!
I wouldn't mind a nice Cruise Control system.
I'll trade the linked brakes for half of the price mark-up.
Did I mention I hate the linked brakes? Oh, but I do hate them!
Color matching wheels on this blue bike would be so "SWEET!!!". I think. Black looks great on the black bikes.

Steve...

You don't have to drive it in afterburner mode all the time!  Learn to enjoy the ride without being at over 100mph all the time.

Tune the 14 Ninja motor, dual exhausts low restriction mufflers have the economy mode in your speedo, and ride accordingly....when you want the power....push the little button and go!

Factory cruise control in place of KiPass. Tip over protection, it's a heavy bike, it will happen. Larger fuel capacity by at least a gallon.

Adjustable seat height and position. (-1 inch std +1 inch)

Adjustable handle bar height and position (like Phil's new design)

Built in GPS (or at least the mount to hold one)

Stronger Windscreen Mount

Sun visor for dash

Easier to remove plastic parts for servicing

Reduction in turning radius

+++? on the cruise and increased fuel capacity.

Factory designed, plug/play aux lighting would be cool.

What about a bar-mounted thumb bell thingie to replace the pathetic horn?

I'm only 5'7", but the stock height is nothing after a 36" high KLR seat so lets spend the engineering dollars that would entail on something we all want...KIPASS II!
I swear that damned thing is killing my phone.

A few extra-cost custom colors would be sweet.  Green would probably add at least 15 mph to the top end.

The bars are already higher than I would prefer...

Why would anyone want an a digital speedo that was wrong too?  My Zumo is right on the money.

Double-barrelled bazookas?  Yikes.

Wait, I just realized what we need to bring us total hapiness:  A cool automated electronic tranny just like the tuning fork folks!

Farkles make me happy until someone sees the bill. ;D
