Electronic Cruise would just about take care of it without adding too much to the base price or removing our ability to customize by choosing our own farkles.

Add nothing. Subtract 100 lbs (45 Kg).

Exactly! The ST1300 has something like this built in. If Kawi built it in it wouldn't cost so much.

If they would package cruise control and the electronic adjustable suspension for the same price BMW gets for the same options I'd order a new one today.

These and Electronic cruise...

Or at least offer either aftermarket at a reasonable price!

DREAM ON

If Wishes Were (horses) C14s .....

Tool-less system to remove plastic. (or FOB sized device for key ring)

You should be able to inspect / check all fluids (Coolant - battery) without 10 minutes of pulling plastic off the bike.

Fork oil drain port that does not require the forks to be pulled off the bike.

Modifications to bike layout to allow valve adjust, vacuum idle setting and spark plug maintenance / replacement in under 45 minutes each.

Stronger windscreen mounting for CB Ultra Dome windscreen (less shaking)

Adjustable rider and passenger foot peg height / seat height / handle bars.

(OR NO CHANGES IF FREE SERVICE AT THE DEALER FOR 3 YEARS 50,000 miles) with option to extend to 6 years with 100k

DREAM OFF

Guess I'm kinda old school.  I like the lower base price and adding the farkles.  Nothing wrong with the turn key approach but I get satisfaction from tweaking it just for me.

Insulated saddlebag for beer (must have a drain tap to let out the melted ice).  ;D

Have a friend with a KTM Adventure and that's EXACTLY what it has. Butt ugly, but they hold a lot of cool ones.

Electronic Cruise Control for sure!
Flatter Seat, too.
Optional matching trunk

If you get all of the other things on the list you'll have a Gold Wing.  ::)
'14 BMW 1200 GSw (red, what little there is that's not grey)
'11 Concours ABS (black) w/ Leo Vince carbon, heated Corbin, Garmin; TechSpec pads (gone but not forgotten)
'05 Yamaha FZ6, only crashed once, gone in trade; '87 Honda Gold Wing Aspencade, sold; '85 Honda Magna (700), sold; '76 Kawasaki KZ400, sold

I agree 100% with keeping the base price low and allowing people to add farkles as needed to suit their needs.  Not all of us make are loaded or want a monthly payment.  ;D

If it were my choice, I would offer the following as add-on accessories:

- electronic cruise control (plug and play into the factory harness, no splicing, cutting or running straight to the battery B.S.)
- dual accessory pigtail harness for GPS and iPod, heated clothing, whatever (plug and play like above)

The only other thing I would do is shave off some weight.  Everything else can be left to the aftermarket as far as I'm concerned.

how about something simple everyone here has overlooked, my biggest complaint is turn signals that dont reset .  i mean WTF?   are they kidding?

i also do not know anyone who hasnt added risers to his bike, hey kawi how about designing the bike for american sport touring riders who happen to average more than 5 4 in height.

Cruise control
no linked brakes
The more stuff we get the more the bike costs and weighs
we have a good price point for a bike that IMHO leads the sport touring bunch, so careful what you ask for.

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

You can add two to the list who don't have them - myself and my friend.  I already have a Goldwing,  I don't need or want another "sit up and beg" motorcycle.  It's easier to start low and add risers than to start high and.......

Guess I'm kinda old school.  I like the lower base price and adding the farkles.  Nothing wrong with the turn key approach but I get satisfaction from tweaking it just for me.  :D    I still don't understand why most factory seats are either built for drag racing or to give us all higher voices

I would somewhat agree with you- up to the point where something isn't feasible to add or change.  Height is a good example.  If they STARTED with a lower seat placement, then people could safely and easily swap the even taller stock seat  for something considerably lower.  But when the design only leaves an inch to play with before you hit steel, those are not things that farkels easily deal with (as my recent experience has shown).
