I'm still trying to establish my "safety margin" for fuel and how to properly interpret what the gauge is reading.
Do you wait until the "low fuel" warning appears, or do you fill up on the last "block" of the gauge above the E?
Once you hit the low fuel warning, you know exactly how much fuel you have- 1.1 gal. That should provide 30 to 50 miles of range, depending on lots of factors. I usually count on 40 to be safe and try to fill up before that.
A tip- when you see the warning, set your "B" trip meter to "0" and you will know how far you have gone since the warning. CAREFUL WHEN TRYING TO DO THAT WHEN MOVING!
