Hey Gang,

Any shortcuts or things I need to know about replacing a burnt out bulb.
Thanks, for the help.

PS I have a manual Jim.

From Brian's (BDF) post on the other forum.

"Pull the center plug straight back and off the lamp. Then grab the rubber sealing ring by the top and bottom tabs and pull it back to remove. Finally, there is a wire bent around the back of the lamp holding the lamp in the headlight housing: Push in slightly and down to move the spring wire away from the retaining latch and it will pivot toward the back of the light and out of the way. The lamp is now free. The lamps (bulbs) are timed so they only go in one way, when you replace the lamp rotate it gently until it drops into the proper position. Then replace the spring retainer, the rubber sealing ring and the plug itself.

It takes longer to type it than to do it but there is a learning curve, especially since you cannot really look at the assembly while your hand is in there."

Takes 5-10 seconds to change per above.

I like the NAPA bulbs. I pull up to store, remove the burnt one, walk in, walk out and put in new one.

Takes longer for the guy to ring it up than replace.

I stick my arm in and wiggle about a bit and eventually get the bulb out and replaced.  There's a rubber thingy and some metal wire that have to go back right and I think one tang (not the astronaut drink) is larger than the others.  Then do the other side.

So what you're saying is I can't drink anything (alcohol related) during this procedure unless I wear gloves?  I don't drink from plastic, you know.  It just doesn't taste right to me.

A can of beer will do in a pinch.

I would think, in your line of work, that you would know?

http://www.blacksheepbrewery.com/beers/holy_grail_bottled_beer/

Ten years later on the 40th anniversary Holy Grail is still going strong. With more hops than a killer rabbit, it's a full-flavoured golden ale with a distinctively fruity flavour followed by the Black Sheep signature dry finish.

Aroma

Dangerously fruity against a biscuity malty background.

Taste

You can always taste the difference when an ale has been tempered by burning witches. In this respect Holy Grail certainly doesn’t disappoint with its clean zesty flavour and long crisp bitter finish.

Ingredients

We brew Holy Grail with Maris Otter malt, an old and expensive variety that is renowned for the taste and the quality of the beer it produces.

A mixture of old English Hop varieties including a touch of WGV hops gives Holy Grail its lovely fruity nose.

Spamalot

2009 was the 40th anniversary of Monty Python and the 10thanniversary of our Holy Grail. To celebrate we are currently supplying the beer in all theatres showing the hit musical “Spamalot” on the nationwide tour.

Did You Know…

That Holy Grail is our most popular beer in the US and Canada?

All our bottled ales are suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.

Oh, it's going to get better.  Things have been too quiet lately.

The closest establishment to me is Bully's Restaurant and Pub (126.9 miles) in Columbia, PA.  $6 for a bottle.  That's a bit steep.  I think I'll keep to drinking my normal swill or just go to straight liquor.

Total Wine (totalwine.com) in richmond, $9 for a six pack.  If you ever get a chance try the Black Sheep Rigwelter, outstanding! The definition of rigwelter is also quite humourous ;)
