Cool. Now we can have a real "car tire on a Concours" thread.

So how fast can you ruin a good bike?
This fast I guess.
Ride safe all, ATGATT please.

Why did we have to run for cover with the promise of a brave new world unfold beneath the clear blue sky ?

It is not ruined; it is just different!!!

If you've never rode a sidecar equipped bike you don't know how much fun your missing....

If you've never rode a sidecar equipped bike that was purposefully designed for high speed handling the you REALLY DON"T KNOW HOW MUCH FUN YOUR MISSING !!!! Caps Lock not stuck.

Oh, I don't know.  I think it might be done a little faster.

Cannot tell from looking at the pic how the front steering works. I wonder why they didn't just use the OEM forks.

Is called a Leading Link Front Suspension and works great in that it does not nose dive when you grab the front binders; also steers worlds better than OEM forks would have due to the relationship with the sidecar.

I love it! I've been a passenger in a hack and would have no problems owning one. And when you lack for passengers, you can fill it up with CASES of beer and eats!

And with such a rig you will absolutely gather a curious & admiring crowd no matter where you go from coffee house to bike night; only real short coming is you will surely catch the attention of some big guy who just can't help himself with saying "you sure do know how to ruin a bike"  :stirpot:

While I don't have such a high speed rig I can promise you that when I ride my sidecar equipped Ural that I enjoy it just as much as I enjoy my Concours just in a different way... Without the sidecar my wife would not be interested in riding with me more than once or twice a year.

Plus I've used the hack to bring home just about anything you can think of from sacks of grass seed and fire wood to a 20" tube type TV....  :deadhorse:

Concours 14        $15,000
Hannigan Kit        $18,000
Total                    $33,000

Hmmmmmmmmmm  there has got to be a less expensive way to transport a passenger but still be in the open air. The passenger could be on the back. Or you could just buy a Mazda Miata. Or as T-Cro pointed out your could buy a Ural for $10,000.

I used to have a Kaw Voyager XII.  When I bought it, I was deciding between it (1999 model) and a 1995 with a 2 tone color matched side car.  Thought it would be pretty cool, especially since it was able to be removed / re-attached relatively quickly.

I also still had a C10 to do the 2 wheel thing in.

Not sure how that would be any different - wouldn't you have to do the same riding pillion or in the passenger seat of a 4 wheeled vehicle?

In addition to TCro's list of things you can do with a sidecar that you can't on 2 wheels, I recall a post and even a pic of his rig in 20 degrees and snow on the ground.  Quite bit of snow.
