shorter windshield options?
« on: May 03, 2014, 07:54:41 AM »
I can't seem to find any solid information on who makes a shorter, sportier looking windscreen for the C10. My bike came with a taller 22" Rifle windscreen and I don't care for the look of the two piece design. I would like a 17-18" maximum height screen as I am only 5'7". Can anyone provide manufacturers who make shorter screens and where I could purchase one? I will sell the Rifle after I have a replacement. I don't want the squared off look if I can help it. Thanks

Not sure if anyone sells a shorter shield.
Many of us cut a stock shield down.
Can make it any height you want.
Radius the top to suit yourself.

If you don't have a spare stocker, ask/look in this forum.
You should be able to get a stocker to cut down fairly easily.

Ride safe, Ted

Regardless of Rifle or other brand, yes, they are easy to cut to your desired shape.  I took thecorners off mine and it made things a lot smoother.

Other most-popular brands are Cee Bailey
Clearview
Givi

I've used two Gustafsson shorty's - a flat one which I covered in alpine Pass stickers,  and a G Force that I currently use.

Both were good quality, arrived on time, and greatly reduced buffeting of the stocker.

Thruth in Adv - you have to drill your own holes, but I didnt find that an issue.
