I think your right. I specifically ordered the ball heater on my 08.  I ran out of money and did not get the off switch, though.  I remember thinking how nice this heat would be and looking forward to 45 degree temps. After all, the hot tank woudl keep me warm.....

First cool day and the motor temp barely registered.  The tank may have been colder than 45.

Typical of Kwak STs.  The C10 was like that as well.

Hard to make changes to a pretty much new re-design, I am sure more will come "and a price increase" in a few years.

If your luck is like mine, when I bought my '09 the salesman said "if history is any indication (c10) there won't be any redesign for at least 20 years." ::)

If the 2013/2014 has cruise control, wouldn't it be logical that the part would retrofit onto my 2011?  :o

I sure hope so! It would be so nice to be able to get a factory plug-n-play add on cruse control.

The hard parts should fit but the programming may be in the ECU.

Exactly what I was going to say.  It would be highly probable that they would use the ECU as the brain.  Reprogramming an old one might not be possible.  Swapping the ECU would be very expensive.
Shoodaben (was Guhl) Mountain Runner ECU flash, Canyon Cages front/rear, Helibars risers, Phil's wedges, Grip Puppies, Sargent World seat-low & heated & pod, Muzzy lowering links, Soupy's stand, Nautilus air horn, Admore lightbar, Ronnie's highway pegs, front running lights, all LED, helmet locks, RAM Xgrip, Sena SMH10, Throttle Tamer, MRA X-Creen, BearingUp Shifter, PR4-GT, Scorpion EXO-T1200,etc

Hey it would be nice if we just had the 2013 (as if ::) ) factory CC switches and buttons to put on our older C14s
bikes to integrate with the Rostra.

I am just glad they are finally going to include a powered reverse. I am tired of pushing such a heavy bike backwards, especially on somewhat slippery surfaces. It seems though that powering the bike backwards will be speed- limited to 25 MPH or 40 KPH, whichever comes first. I wonder how long it will be before a bypass for that limit is found?

True enough. Hey, maybe the next one will engage somebody and remain in play for a while....?  In the olden' days just using the <k-word> would guarantee some kind of a hubbub but that seems to be fading now too.

Do you guys want a motorcycle or a slave?
Massages, turn signals that operate themselves,...... Cheesh! ;-)
Yer a bunch of lazy assed farkle junkies.  ;D

For me they can drop the linked brakes (or include an off switch), fix the damned OEM seat (slope and sticky cover material) and fit PR3s as standard. Front wheel bearings that last longer than 25k would also be appreciated.

Chances are that what we will get will be a colour change.

As for the C10, they were changed between 86 & 87 (taller bars, taller screen), 89 & 90 (different camchain tensioner and the fairing scoops were molded in and changed position slightly), 93 & 94 (wheels, forks, front brakes, instruments, saddle, taller bars, another new camchain tensioner), 96 & 98 (camchain tensioner again). Somewhere in there they changed the switchgear to add push to cancel turn-signals, changed the sidebags finish (earlier ones were smooth, later matt finish),  and many other minor changes.
