GTR 1400 emblems...
« on: July 05, 2012, 07:49:00 PM »
I think this might be from the we want what we cannot have dept.   I do like the new look, though.  From a very nice Kawasaki dealer in England.

Was lucky to have a foreign exchange student from Denmark who's father brought a set of badges over when they came for a visit. 1400GTR just sounds so much better than Concours to me

The seat appears to be a Sargent.

I kinda like "Concours".  My only problem is that people can't seem to grasp the concept that it is pronounced "CAHN' CORE"!

It is a Sargent low that I bought at Rocky Mountain ATV, of all places. Good price, and I could pick it up locally.  Actually, it was a much better value than the emblems, and only a little more money.  Honestly, I've ridden the bike abotu twice as much after getting the seat.

I know how these seats are different for everyone, but this thing feels custom made for me.  Between it and the seat, I DECIDE when to stop riding..not my elbows, or ass.

I like emblems and decals. Most folk I encounter don't know what the C14 is, asking if it is a BMW and then guessing that it is 650 cc.

Unless it's a red R, then we're talking 7 - 10 HP each, depending on the size of the R.

LOL- they aren't looking very closely then.  The huge "KAWASAKI" emblems are kinda hard to miss.  And it says "14" too, right after "Concours", although those are small.

Been sporting them for a couple years. Very few people notice them. Ordered into a shop in Ireland before a trip and were there when I arrived.

And yeah, lots of "is it a BMW" questions with the full KAWASAKI on the side. Simple answer - Nope, 10k less and WAY better!

The Kawasaki version wasn't quite what I wanted so I used Sign Specialists' site to make my own set.  $13.

I took the KAWASAKI off when I first bought it.
I took the CUMMINS off my truck , the 5.5 in exhaust is a dead give away.

I don't mind the logos at all.  But I took off all those damn warning and info stickers the day I got it home.  I hate those things.  I put them all on the inside door of one of the bags.  Immediately took off the dealer advertisement plate surround, also.

About the only factory logo I am not terribly fond of is the "Kawasaki" sticker on the windshield.
