Although replacing a punctured tire is technically the correct thing to do...I never have. Always rode the plugs till the tire wore out. Just stubborn, I guess.

I rode from Colorado all over Utah to Vegas to LA to Tampa, FL on a plug named Jill.

D*mn tire wore out everywhere except where the plug was, it had a few hundred miles left in that spot when I got back to Tampa

Maybe you needed more Jills?

One Jill was enough!  And it was a WalMart plug at that. And I hate WalMart so much I shop at Target!

It is your tire, your bike and your life, so do what you think is best.  Cost being no object, it is better to replace the tire.  Depending on the location, size and shape of the puncture, I would be inclined to trust a rope plug repair.  We have had forum members ride plugged tires for many miles in varying conditions w/o issues.  IIRC, one or two tried pulling the plugs out from the inside and the end of the tire life (w/ ViseGrips) and were unable to do so.  Once it sets up fully in a day or two, a proper rope plug seems to be a "permanent" repair.

As noted above, if you post your location, you probably can find someone willing to take the old tire off your hand.

Discount codes don't apply to tires through JW, at least I have never been able to figure it out.  It does count towards your customer cash credit, I built up enough last year (mostly buying tires) to buy a VStream windshield.

If you are in Missouri I would be happy to put that tire to good use after an umbrella patch has been installed.
