Most people shop for the lowest price on a new bike simply because there local dealers suck as far as customer service. Then again, none of us want to pay more than we have to. Tricky situation for sure.

Give me a dealer who treats me well, doesnt rip me off on parts and service and spends time with me to answer my questions even when they know I am not looking to buy and they will earn my business. I'll gladly pay a little more from a dealer to be treated well before and after the sale.

I'll have to do a drive by tomorrow after work. Good place to buy a bike, so-so service, total **** for maintainence parts and tires. Never had oil or air filters in stock and uber high prices on tires. They are / were the only game in town, though.

Definately a goner. The employees didn't know about it until the showed up for work to a locked building with an "Out of Businness" sign on the door.

Customer owned motorcycles that were in for service, are still locked up. No coms with the owner. The employees haven't been allowed in to pick up their tools and personal belongings as yet.

Wow, that would really suck if your bike was there and completely pulled apart mid-stream for some internal project...  :'(

The same thing happened with Trenton Harley, in Hamilton, NJ awhile back. Harley came in and shut the place down. I met at guy looking through the locked doors, that was there to pick up his new Harley. It took some time for things to get ironed out, for all the employees and those involved with bikes being repaired, bought, etc.

I remember that one too. I was in the shop a week before they closed down. I was in the market for a bike, and was shopping around undecided. without warning the very next week...closed! I remember telling my wife, "glad I didn't buy a bike from them."

Happened in Raleigh two years ago, and we still don't have a Kawa dealer here in the capital of NC.  Motorcycle dealers are like strip club owners. They tend to be a seedy lot that take lots of bad risks, like not paying taxes, hiring half assed ripoff mechanics...right now, the common theme is to try to keep the place open on high service profits instead of sales. How's that working out?
