Changed tires Now bike pull hard to the right Help.
« on: May 31, 2012, 08:44:57 PM »
Hey guys. I have a 2011 14. I just changed and tires today I mounted and balanced them myself at home. I installed a set of Angel Demons 190 55 R17 in the rear and 120 70 R 17 in the front. Now when going at fast or slow speeds I notice that the bike pulls hard to the right. This without the bags on can any please tell me if the front end might be out of alignment and if so can you please tell me how to adjust it. Thank you.

check your calipers and make sure there isn't an issue with the right side binding.  Also wouldn't hurt to be sure your tires are mounted in the correct orientation assuming they are directional.

Since it's shaft drive you probably don't have the chain cocked up. Only things that I can think of is that you put every part (especially spacers) back in the right order and places. I'd double check your work and loosen everything up and re-tighten them and make sure that everything is properly aligned.

LOL... Both tires are pointing in the correct direction. I did loosen the left side axle nut a little bit because I didn't follow the directions properly could that have thrown off the alignment?

maybe axle pinch, after tightening the "axle" loosen the "axle clamp bolts" on both sides and bounce the front tire a few times against a wall or curb compressing the suspension up and down. then retighten axle clamps.

Crazy thought (BMW wheels do this) did you mount the tire on the wrong way? ie the wheel is running the wrong way but the tire is correct, the reason I say this is because a friend had put his tire on back to front so the front wheel was actually going the wrong way...... just a thought....
