I recently posted up the "What'd you do for your Connie today" thread that I had replaced the servo control cable on the Audiovox cruise. I had some interest in it, so I started a new topic on it.
My current cable was down to one strand. I have a 5-6k mile trip coming up and I did not want to lose cruise. I ordered this cable:

I did do the cable attachment to the key chain thingy different, however. I picked up an aluminum ferrule to clamp on the end of the cable, after passing through the key chain thingy hole. I also had to make the premounted thingy on the new cable smaller to fit in the servo. No big deal. It seems to be working fine, and the cable is 2mm, vs the .5mm for the stock unit. It should last a lot longer. The stock one had about 45-50k miles on it.
