The parking lot is small otherwise I would have given it some more throttle.

Sounds great Jeremy - like a sports tourer should!  Did you get it re-mapped or whatever they recommend when you change exhaust?

Yes, I have a PCV and AutoTune.

All I can say is, "Jeremy, it is ALL your fault." After hearing your slip-on Muzzy, and even knowing that it will sound different in person, I want one!!

My 2010 Connie doesn't have any performance mods, and I don't ride to the bike's potential. I am not looking for more HP, but I like the sound of the Muzzy... that said, do I NEED to add a power commander, PCV, or autotune to correct any fuel mixture changes? Other reasons?

Seems to me the 2010 has an ECO mode, which controls the mixture already... won't the ECU correct the fuel/air mix automatically?

thanks for the help.

To be on the safe side you would want to add some sort of tuner (I am partial to the PCV/AutoTune combo) or a reflashed ECU from GUHL or Dynotronics.  There just happens to be a great deal on an exhaust exactly like mine.  Here is the link.

Thanks, Jeremy, for the advice. I now understand that the free-er flowing zx14 (bigger pipes) would need a pcv/autotune. Would this also be true if I simply got a C14 slip-on Muzzy (or any other slip-on that uses the stock header pipes)?

BTW, this is probably a stupid question... but, does changing mufflers void my warrenty?

No tuner needed for a slip-on. And as long as Kawasaki can't prove that your modification directly caused a failure you should have no warranty issues.  I have done quite a bit of work to my bike and have never even been questioned when it came time for a warranty claim.

24 pounds was what I measured with my bathroom scale.  The stock header is also quite a bit heavier than the Muzzy version due to the catalytic converter, I didn't weigh the individual items but I would guess that the just the slip-on vs the stock bazooka would be around 15-20 lbs difference.

20 pounds would be almost a 3% weight loss, that is worth the price of admission by itself:)
