Replaced my OEM battery, and didn't use spacer

I bought a battery from Murph and when I installed it, I didn't use the 1/2" spacer at the bottom of the battery. I don't see the battery on Murphs currently, but it was shorter than the OEM. I installed it without it, because it didn't want to fit easily, so I figured I wasn't supposed to use it. It wasn't until I put the OEM in the new battery's box, that things started to fall into place in my head. Should I go back in and put the spacer in?

As long as the rubber strap 'grabbed' the battery and has some pressure on it, I would not worry about it. If the battery is actually loose it may eventually wear due to movement and rubbing against some part of the bike. And of  course you could just put the spacer aside and try to remember to put it in during some future maintenance cycle. Note that that last suggestion is something you would never actually do and is considered mentally pacifying only- it is also known as a "Perma- temp" fix, meaning it is only meant to be a temporary situation that never gets addressed again.

LOL, Yeah I need to put it back in. The strap had no tention on it, I just don't like that I could rattle around even it won't.
