Noisy fuel pump
« on: April 16, 2012, 10:06:51 PM »
Every now and then I’ll start the bike and the fuel pump will be noisy for 2-3 minutes it happened again tonight even though the tank is ¾ full. Has anyone else experienced this?

Nope, but that doesn't sound good.  I wonder if the inlet screen is partially blocked, not allowing pressure to build?
Daveo (RIP Rider) did an in depth thread on removal and repair for a plugged screen.  Not sure if it made it through the Great Crash of forum lore.

I saw it posted on the COG site a while back by Fred.  Let me see if I can find a link.
Keeping the economy going, one tank of fuel and two tires at a time.
