Who has gotten the most miles out of stock tires?

I have a '11 and am currently on a road trip.
When I get back go home, stock bridgestones will
Have almost 7000 miles.
Front is looking pretty bad,I see pr3's in my future.

Front bt021- 5000 miles (8000km)cupping badly.
Rear bt021- 9000 miles. (14400km)Worn evenly.
I had no problem with the REAR bt021. Handled nicely and lasted. The front was horrible.
Went with pr2's. My front pr2's have had the same cupping problem as the stones!

Changed mine at 3,900 miles. Both were bad, but the front was really bad!

If I ever wind up on the list of people who get the most miles out of a set of tires I hope someone will put me out of my misery.  I got about 5,000 out of my OEM tires, and I'm getting around 8500 or so out of my PR2's.

Yeah, thank goodness! I'm using them for a trip to San Francisco this summer...

I burned through my first set in ~3300 miles after a long weekend of curves. :) The center of the tire still had tread, but the edges were worn completely.

BTW, I have a set of PR3's lined up for the end of this ridding season.

5K out of the front OEM, 11k out of the rear; 11K on front PR2's, no sign of wear

A couple of things:

The OEM BT021s are not as good as the ones you would buy off the shelf from Bridgestone.

Both lack considerably behind the BT023, their replacement.  At 6k the 021s were done, I have 9k on my current 023 front, with about 1/3 tread left.  I took the rear off at just shy of 8k because I wasn't positive it would make it for the entire Iron Butt I just did, and the semi-shagged (trackday take-off) 023 from my Superhawk is holding up fine... I'll probably go ahead and replace them with the GT-spec 023s in another 1-2k.

I can't imagine wearing out the stock tires. I'm about ready to take a drill and some sheet metal screws to mine when the wife isn't looking ::)

I managed 7,000 before I just couldn't take it any more.
I had to "reprofile" the front tyre with a rasp to make it rideable. (approx 4,000 miles)
Both tyres were still legal when replaced.
Front was at 2mm tread at the lowest point and 5mm at the deepest.
Rear was at 2mm and 4mm.

Went PR2 and never looked back.
Will never buy Bridgestone again,.. unless the press reports that they have a PR3 beater.  ;)

I replaced mine at 11,000 miles after I got back from Cali for Michilen PR3. They were getting scary, more than usual at that point.
