I've been riding for years, and as long as I can remember people have loved Corbin seats, but hated Corbin.  I always buy Sargent seats, but for the C-14 I bought a barely used Corbin, and I like it.  And if you weigh 300+ the seat will break-in nicely...

I bought a used Russel but cannot use it because it put me on the tips of my toes when stopped. I put a Corbin on my DR650 and it completely transformed that bike into an adventure bike and have done 400 mile days on it. I like the hardness of it. Was thinking of selling the Russel and getting a Corbin.

So the big gripe  is with the rear looks of the Corbin trunk ?
I guess their effort to be aerodynamic  does not work with the masses.

No that is not my gripe. My gripe is the crappy customer service. And the large price tag for a small storage space.

Nah, that's what the bike looks like with the bags installed...

The Corbin trunk looks a bit more like this :)

I like the looks of and the idea behind the Smuggler. Would have bought one when I got my Corbin seat, but I had two issues to consider. First, I'm trying to get my wife back into riding with me and I don't think anything would have made that Smuggler a comfortable perch for her. Second, they cost too dang much!!

If the wife doesn't give in soon, then I may look into the Smuggler again. I think ZG's looks great. It would also let me not stand out so much when I'm with the crowd I usually ride with. (K1300S, S1000RR, FZ1, etc.)

And it gets better...So I have not heard from Corbin since I ordered my seats on line last week. I pick up the phone to call and check on my order, nada. Not in their system at all. They do show my name in the system from where I called in to check on the color for the smuggler, but no seat order. Wonderful.....He was baffled. So I forward the email and he will check into it and call me back....ugh.

I had my local shop order mine from Corbin for me and got the added benifit of getting an extra 15% off because I get 15% off everything I order from my local shop because of the great relationship I have with them...

He just called back, it is in the system and they are being built. They would not come up on his computer for some reason. But he called back quickly and is checking on the Arabian Red color for me. Dealing with the FL shop now and they seem to have their stuff together.... :D

I've had a Corbin Smuggler since my bike was one day old. The first one did not fit so I had to go back to them for adjustment. Then it was secured improperly and flew off on the highway. The 3rd one developed orange peel so they replaced it with another one. I dropped a heavy tool on the case a few weeks thereafter and cracked the case. I ordered another Smuggler which arrived in the wrong color. I sent it back and they replaced it in just 10 weeks. The replacement had latching hardware that I could not tighten. They sent me another one and assured me that the lock latch would close tightly and lock.

I now have a new boyfriend who likes to ride with me so the Smuggler is now sitting on the garage shelf.
Yes, they're real...and they is sensational...
