Don't you also need the FOB number that was on the plastic bag it came in? As I understand it, and I could be wrong, that number is needed to program a new FOB and the only place it is listed is on the plastic bag it came in.
I believe you are thinking of the TPS...not fob.
Looks like the above video needs a matched fob to make it work.

Without a battery in the fob you can start the bike with the rfid part of the fob held against the ignition switch which is what the video shows. Good info for the newbies that don't read the manual.
