OK, here's the personal translator again!  :D
Valerio sent me a mail explaining more in detail an interesting point I didn't consider before.
For those who do not mount the guards to protect the saddlebags, the saddlebag itself can provide some kind of protection when tipping over or falling at low speeds (for higher speeds you only have to pray!  ;)).
Better a big sturdy plastic mass than nothing... ;)
All this, provided that the saddlebag stays in its position after the crash.
Here is what Valerio points out: the GTR-C14 saddlebags have a poor design for the anchoring to the frame and can easily slip off from their position.
This results in an evident play (or lash...) when you try to move them from behind.
The bags can also be easily stolen because of this ;)

So, for the sake of safety, Valerio designed that simple solution you can see in the clip.
Yes, a couple of holes in the bags are needed... ::)

But at least they will remain there in case of accident providing some kind of protection to pilot's leg!
And stealing them it's a harder job also! :)

Stand out from the crowd: do not buy a BMW !!!
