Power Commander Help
« on: February 06, 2012, 10:44:53 AM »
Hey, I bought a used PC of a member on this site, when I hook it to the bike I get an F1 error. If I try to load new maps to the PC is says not communicating. Does the bike need to be running or just keyed on to install new maps? I am missing the 9V power cord so I can't do it that way.
Thanks
Corey

Double check the ground.  I always have her running when I do MAP installs, I believe if it is a PCIII this is required, but I could be wrong.

What model PC do you have? I have a PCV and it has a USB hookup to my computer. I am able to simply turn it on and load the map. You might want to ensure that you fit the connectors to your fuel injector input/output terminals good and tight. If they aren't securely connected you might also get the error you're seeing.
