Congrats……..

I had two Cooper S's a '06 6 speed manual and a '09 automatic. They are an absolute hoot to drive.  I had lots of trouble with both of mine.  My wife has a regular ’06 MINI that has been completely trouble free.

There is a recall on the water pump circuit board for yours…check it out.

I truly loved mine but I’ll never buy another one.  Still hurts.  It was like being married to supermodel and finding out she’s the town whore.

I drive a Honda CRV now.  It’s boring, but turn the key and it goes

I assume that's with both of them sitting still.  I don't think that would be right if the Cooper could keep up with the Mustang...

Also, it's still a little large to fit into the garage.

Yeah, while spunky and fun to drive, they are not quite in the same league.

Where are the new Coopers made?   I remember seeing the originals back in the 60's that were from England they seemed so strange and tiny then, but they blend right into the suburban landscape these days.  Are they still British made?

Thanks for the info.  I was always confused because it seems like I always see Coopers for sale at BMW dealers.   Traditionally the franchise agreements with German manufacturers forbid any other nations products sold along side theirs.

Technology overkill much?  Hopefully that's not indicative of the car in general.

Yup I heard about that before we made our purchase. She's scheduled for a visit to the dealer on Feb 20th. Hopefully it won't catch fire before then.
