Agreed.
Hard our snowstorm here a week ago and if it wasn't for me being out of town on business for most of it I don't know what I would have dont going over a full week without it!
You're either a twin cylinder person or you are not. Personally, I like a nice twin, and the boxer is my favorite twin of them all.
I did some 1,000 mile days on my RT at 90-100 sustained, and that engine was sublime. It's not a rocket, and true it has a quirky exhaust note, but it is a great engine. Yes, my K1300 and K1600 were smoother, but to me the RT was good at mixing some nostalgic charm with AMAZING levels of technology, convenience, and capability. Great bike, and it's no wonder they receive such high praise.
My local dealer has a loaner bike.
It's a 22 year old Kawasaki GT550 with over 100k miles on the clock similar to (but a lot rougher looking than) this;
You have no idea how it feels to get off the 1400 and get on one of these.
No power, terrible handling, awful suspension, scary brakes, etc.
When you pickup your bike after the service you are SOOOooooo grateful to have it back! <LOL>
