When I am on a straight-away going about 65 and go into a curve, I find that I come out of the curve doing around 80...is there some quirk that is related to lean angle which causes the engine to speed up? I am pretty sure that I didn't do it...honest.

I have the same issue. I find the exit speed depends on the curve. Blew out of a good tight one today at 100+ just to see the law coming at me. Glad he wasn't running radar.

I thought it was just the bike. Noticed the same thing. I don't think it's a flaw, though.

The quirk generally links to how loose the nut is behind the handle bars.
Somedays are quirkier than others.

For whatever reason, every time I fill up, the bikes wants to go faster, esp through the corners... It's something that's plagued me since I bought it... Gonna have to look for that gas gremlin... he's lurking somewhere...

This bike has a mind of it's own. No matter what speed I'm going it always wants to go faster. It sometimes does this without any conscious control from me.

(Waiting on kerby's responce.)
But until then ..... It's like when NASA sends a rocket near a planet or moon in order to get a sling shot effect from the gravitational pull of the planet or moon. The center of a curve acts the same way. If you're not going faster on exiting, your space time continuum is off and needs adjustments.
