Some over $3000 so far and still have to get a different seat.  CB radio, GPS and trunk were the big items.

Not including shipping, now!! Also, you can't count farkles you have returned or sold, even if you lost money!

I started adding it up. I easily passed the 4K mark!  I think I would have passed 5 or 6K!   :o

It's a terrible thing, this farkleitis!  ;D  And seems to happen with all the bikes!  :yikes:

It is even worse when the affliction affects 4 wheeled toys!  My wife thinks I am crazy.

:-[  Well, had to change my vote.   A new Corbin seat, GiVI E55 trunk, and Phil's rack this weekend alone.   Want to get risers and techmount ordered some time in the next two weeks but that won't be too bad.
The way I look at it, is if I am going to get it down the road anyways, might as well get it now and get the most enjoyment out of it as possible.
I am sticking with the cosmetic stuff this year and going with the performance mods next year once the bike is "broke in" more.

McCruise, Area P, Heated Corbin, Zumo550, Adaptive TPX (with mount and visual alert), top case!  I'm pretty sure those are some of the more pricey items I bought for it. But really it's the smaller, less expensive stuff that starts adding up real fast!!!  ;D

Yep, I figured you must have had the McCruise on that list Cap'n, that one farkle alone puts anyone into the 4th bar from the top...  :o

Only if you take it to it's full potential...  8)

Even then, it's a much better bang for the buck then some of its "competitors"...  ;)

I'm in the 500 to 1 thou range.  Shield, mc enterprises bars, risers and cheap gps.  A seat is on my list though.  Then a cruise control eventually.

90% of my farkles I ordered with the bike and installed when I got the girl home. I had a pickup bed full of items from AP exhaust, PC 5, rad. guard, fender extender, risers, GPS ram mount, Givi case, Phil's rack, PR2's, Led lights, grip puppies, C bailey windshield,  external temp gauge, 3M clear tape for tank and bags. All installed with 35 miles on the bike and pulled the secondary butterflies. It took me 2 days but it sure was a lot of fun doing it.

Never really thought about it until this post.

Cee Baily windshield.  Liked it, but I wanted a taller one, so I bought the Vstream.
Zumo 550 plus the XM antenna and XM subscription.
Boostaroo volume booster.  Didn't like it so I bought the Mix-it and then finally the Amplirider.
Various Starcom cables and headsets.
Risers, MC Enterprises tip over protection, GSG Sliders, rear top case, Rostra cruise control (plus I paid a shop to install it). Several different tank bags, newer updated heated gear. Riding gear that better matches the bike, New seat etc...

It really adds up.  Most multi-day rides lead to something else I want or need so, I expect to be buying more for the bike in the very near future.

  • It's only really cold if you fall down in it.
    • C-14 farkles you almost cannot ride without.

You could use a catagory that says "Can't tell yet, not done".
