Ordered Monday, arrived today from powersportparts.net, for 135 plus free shipping.

Took about 10 mins to swap out, not bad. It's a couple inches taller than the '11 stock shield, but shaped a lot differently. At the top position it's just under eye level, which should be perfect. Low position will still give me good wind in the face. It's a little thinner than the stock shield and I hope it doesn't flap around too much. It does have a curve to it so that should help keep it stable.

No test ride today, pouring rain, but tomorrow I'll get 30 minutes in as I have to take the bike down to the dealer so they can put on all the parts they ordered when they dropped it during the 600 mile service.

My vstream was fairly "flappy" but it never caused me any problems.  It lookes a little weird but it definitely does a better job than the stocker.

I have a V-Stream on mine now. I thought it would be the bomb for eliminating the bad buffeting I get from the "tall" Kawasaki shield (standard on the '10's and up I believe). I'm not all that impressed with it to tell you the truth. While I don't get the buffeting I got from the tall Kawi shield, I still get a LOT of wind noise even with it fully up. I'm only 6' tall so I don't think it's asking too much, but I haven't found the holy grail of windshields yet.......at least as far as eliminating the wind noise for me. I've tried the stock Kawi shield ('08 model bike here), the taller Kawi shield, and now the V-Stream. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. I'm starting to think that most of my wind noise is from all of the vents on my GMAX helmet, but if I just hunch down a couple of inches behind the V-Stream (in the up position) it goes away almost completely. Not sure what to try next. Hope yours works out for you.

Oh, and the V-Stream WILL move around a lot, especially when UP.

yes Vstreams are nice. Portland Police Bureau motor officers use them extensively on all their bikes, including thier stock of Concours 14s

It'll get it's 1st test run today, and the conditions couldn't be worse for it- 25mph winds with higher gusts. We had that last Saturday and I got blown around so much we had to get off the highway. The Connie gets moved around a LOT more than my Vulcan did by the wind.

Anyway, I have to run down the slab this morning, a 70mph road, going into the wind, so the VS will get it's test.

Dras, I hear what you are saying about finding the right shield. I always wear earplugs to cut down the wind noise, but with the stock shield, with it all the way up, it really knocked me around. Like you said, dipping your head just a bit stopped it, so I'm hoping the VS will do that for me without dipping down. I'm 6'1, so we'll see how it works.

Im 6 ft and the cal sci large screen  when up leaves me noise free!    highly recommended .

It does move quite a bit, takes some getting used to.  But I have not wanted another screen in 35,000 miles.  At highest level air just hits the top of my helmet (6'2" 34" inseam) and all the way down air hit hits me at collar bone level for great summer air

I've done a few hundred miles with the vstream now. It's definitely better than the stock shield on my '11. I'm not getting a lot of buffeting with it all the way up, but I am getting this low frequency drone that sounds like a car driving by with one of those subwoofers in the trunk. If I lean forward just a bit, it all goes away and is pretty quiet.

Goods points & good info.  I just ordered one from a fella from the forum here.  Hopefully the V-Stream works for me.  I drove a friends C14 and noticed a big difference with his VS.  I hate the stocker on my 11 C14, if the VS doesn't work then the CalSci will be ordered.  Once I get in installed on the bike I can give my 2 cents worth on its effectiveness.

I figured out the low drone was caused by my earplugs. I rode yesterday with the shield up and no plugs in, and it wasn't bad at all.
