How many FOBs do you all have.  When I bought my bike (brand new from dealer two months ago) I was give one FOB and one spare key.  Is that correct or is the dealer holding out on me?

Thanks,  Tim

You should have two fobs. If your bike is a '08/'09 you get two full sized fobs. If it's not one of these years you get one full sized fob and one 'credit card' sized fob. Sounds like you need to have a talk with your dealer...

I keep the main fob in a small case on my pants belt. The backup fob with separate key I keep on a locking carabineer with a nylon web to a split ring. The carabineer is on my belt and the split ring end fits down into my from jean pocket where I can pull it out easily for gassing up or accessing the saddle bags. I don’t like the fobs free in my pocket as I might accidentally pull one out when searching for another item. I like thick leather belts so they seem secure enough.

I understand.  That's why there isn't anything in that pocket that needs to see the light of day while I'm riding.....

No comments from you, Brian.

Minaturise (-ize) the passive RF chip and get it implanted subdermally.

I have my credit card fob hidden where an allen wrench can get to it.

Tin foil works, my last trip I put one in my top case wrapped in tin foil and the bike would not start. I have spare keys to the top case and the bags on my key chain.
