Anyone know if it causes any issue with pillion rider? Legs hitting it, etc.

I don't have 'em but the only issue that I've read about is that you can't fold the stock passanger pegs up with these installed.

I've got them. I originally installed a vixfix passenger peg lowering kit because my wife really needed the knee room I I felt the bar would be too close to the back of her leg. With the lowering kit, there was no interference issue at all. I've since installed floorboards for her and again, there are no problems.
