Update on my 2X2 rack: Garrett at 2x2 drilled the holes according to the Givi/Concours installation because I am using the steel Givi plate (under the plastic honeycomb plate). It is a very solid platform for the 2x2 rack. Anyway, Givi shows to mount the plastic plate in the 2nd row of the honeycomb, where it is actually in the top row. So the holes didn't line up. And the front of the rack needs to be modified a bit. None of this is Garrett's fault. I place the blame on Givi's instruction sheet. So, long story short, he paid for shipping (all the shipping, original order plus the rework) and I am hoping to get the reworked plate back by the end of the week.
But, the cool thing is, is that after talking to him, he said that if I have a large bicycle (I do) that a 26 liter Givi case will work WITH a bike! And he said it fits a ff helmet. He has a dozen of them and is sending me one for $59. Very excited that I can still have 3 mounted cases whilst hauling my Trek. Although, the Givi 26N is going to be different from my current 46 liter.
I am hoping like heck, that the Givi mounting plate will work with both, but I am expecting that it will not. So I might have to part with the 46.
I will post photos, including of the awesome LED (running and brake) light that mounts under your license plate that Garrett sends with the rack.
