How much?
« on: July 21, 2011, 08:28:01 AM »
A coworker t-boned a deer at low speed, but the bike is totaled according to the insurance company. He is going to see how much the buy-off of the bike is so he can part it out for myself and others.

He has a Givi 52 liter top box that has a scratch on one side (cosmetic only) that he is going to pull off for me. He said to make him an offer and I really have no idea how much to offer him. It will include all the mounting hardware (Monokey).

He said he looked it up and new they would be $250.  What would you say?

He already has a taker for the engine and stock exhaust and I told him if the tires are new, he should save those as well (they are almost new). He has an aftermarket windscreen (don't know the brand) that I may end up putting up for sale here.

Somewhere between half to two-thirds of original price.. so $125 - $175...

I would. A Givi 55, if in good condition, for 150 is a nice price.
